David Alaba, a defender for Real Madrid, has replied to rumors that he would quit the team soon.
In quest of a fresh challenge, Alaba decided to leave his 13-year relationship with the Bavarian giants and joined Madrid on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
Alaba formed a strong defensive connection with Eder Militao and helped Los Blancos win both the La Liga and the Champions League in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Numerous muscle problems derailed his second season in Spain, although Carlo Ancelotti was still able to use new signing Antonio Rudiger in the Austrian’s place. An adductor problem has also prevented Alaba from playing during the 2023–24 season, and Madrid has been without Militao for the most of the season due to an ACL ιnjury.
Alaba has been connected to a return to the Bundesliga due to his increasingly dubious fitness record, but he has swiftly taken action to put an end to such rumors.
“I don’t plan that far in advance. Alaba stated, “I feel very comfortable in Madrid,” when traveling with the Austrian national team.
“I have very specific goals and I like Real Madrid.” I’m not thinking about anything else.”
Alaba recently said that, despite having his heart firmly in Madrid, he has been keeping an eye on former team Bayern Munich’s success this year.
“I always follow FC Bayern, of course. Thus far, the season is going really well for them. Although they were eliminated from the Pokal, Alaba noted that they had been performing admirably in the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
Alaba said, “I think that depends on so many details,” in response to the question of whether of Madrid and Bayern is better equipped for a lengthy run in the Champions League. Each of the two teams is capable of winning the Champions League. We want to succeed in the end, of course, but there’s still a very long way to go.”
Surprising leaders Girona in La Liga and Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga are two points ahead of both Madrid and Bayern in their respective home leagues.
