The fans are thrilled by the radiant happiness of superstar Joselu Mato and his wife during the press conference unveiling their new film
Joselu explains Cádiz’s viral play – Real MadridThe white striker did not finish off an action at goal and this Monday he explained what happened in ‘El Chiringuito’
Joselu Mato, Real Madrid striker, generated some uncertainty with his decision to let a Rodrygo shot go through almost on goal during the match against Cádiz, which Real Madrid won 0-3 at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium (previously Ramón de Carranza). This moment became one of the most talked about plays, the action even going viral.
Joselu tells what happened in his decision with Real Madrid
In an interview on ‘El Chiringuito’, Joselu explained that he had spoken with Rodrygo about the play. According to him, Rodrygo tried a Vaseline, dribbled past the goalkeeper and, thinking that the Brazilian would continue the play, Joselu tried to move away to allow Rodrygo to score. He considers that it is the first time that something like this has happened to him, but he emphasizes that the important thing is that the team won and took the game forward, this is how he narrated it: “I just talked about it today with Rodrygo, who didn’t expect the ball from Jude (Bellingham) either. … He first tries to make a pass, then he dribbles with the goalkeeper… And when he dribbles, I understand that he is going to continue the play and I try to get away so that he ends up scoring a goal.”
Guti is not happy with Joselu’s explanations
However, Joselu’s explanations did not convince Guti, a former Real Madrid player, who expressed his cоnfusiоn in ‘El Chiringuito’. Guti believed that a center forward should not miss an opportunity like this and that, at that moment, he must ensure the goal. In addition, he suggested that he saw Joselu “a little cowed” and noticed a certain shyness in his game: “I see Joselu a little cowed. It’s true that he started well, but lately I see him cowed, like shy… like not wanting to lose balls or do more in case someone says something to him,” said the former Real Madrid player.
Guti also stated that, although Joselu had started well, lately he saw him indecisive and worried about not making mistakes. He considered the striker’s attitude surprising and stressed that he had never seen anything similar in a player in that position: “I had never seen this in a striker, the trutҺ is, it surprised me a lot.”
Luckily, the mistake of the 33-year-old forward born in Stuttgart (Germany) did not cost Real Madrid the three points against Cádiz and also served to place Ancelotti’s team as provisional leaders, a leadership that was confirmed this year. Monday after Girona’s 1-1 draw in the visit of Montilivi by Athletic Club and which places Míchel’s team as second in LaLiga EA Sports.
