Tom Holland Opens up About Zendaya’s Candid Feedback on His Work: ‘She’s Probably the Most Honest with Me

Tom Holland is aware that Zendaya will always tell the truth to him.

The actor, 27, spoke warmly about his fiancée in an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation that was posted on YouTube on Friday. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including his career and the new television series The Crowded Room.

Holland responded, “Zendaya is probably the most honest with me,” to the moderator’s question on who in his life he consults for feedback on his work. “Which I love, because you need that,” he continued.

Holland mentioned Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr., two other co-stars in Marvel, as performers whose viewpoints he values and consults for advice. “Downey is very honest — sometimes a little too honest,” the comedian said. “I genuinely value Downey’s viewpoint. He taught me so much that I can’t stop thanking him. I adore the man. I think highly of him.”

After both Holland and Zendaya were cast in Spider-Man: Homecoming, they began dating in 2016. It wasn’t until 2021—after being caught on camera sharing a kiss in their car—that they made their romance official on Instagram.

Although the couple doesn’t talk much about their relationship, they were recently spotted jokingly nudging one another while signing posters for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which was done to support The Brothers Trust, the Holland family’s charity, according to an Entertainment Tonight Instagram post.

When Holland spoke on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty Podcast in July, he discussed his desire to keep his connection with the Dune actress a secret. In those days, he referred to their bond as “the thing I keep most sacred.”

“I keep it to myself. “We both feel very strongly that it is the healthiest way to move on as a couple, so I try my best to keep it as private as possible,” he stated, expressing a desire to “focus on what makes me happy” outside of his profession in Hollywood.
