Kepa Arrizabalaga will return to the Real Madrid

Is it justified for Carlo Ancelotti to prioritize Kepa Arrizabalaga over Andriy Lunin by benching him? It is a contentious issue among the Real Madrid fanbase

So far this season, Real Madrid’s goalkeeper situation has been pretty interesting. Thibaut Courtois tore his anterior cruciate ligament just before the season started. This meant that Real Madrid would be without their star goalkeeper for a long time. They replaced him with Kepa Arrizabalaga, who came on loan from Chelsea.

Kepa came in for Andriy Lunin, who had started the first two games for Real Madrid this season. But at the beginning of November, he hurt a muscle, so the Ukrainian had to fill in again instead. Since coming back, Lunin has looked sure of himself, which has helped Los Blancos keep up their great defense record.

Even though Lunin has played very well, he will be on the bench this weekend when Real Madrid travels to play Real Betis. Kepa is back from illness, and Carlo Ancelotti just recently said that he would be coming back into the team. This means that Lunin will have to wait again.

A lot of Real Madrid fans are confused about this choice for a number of reasons. First, Lunin has looked very sure of himself, maybe even more so than Kepa. Kepa hasn’t done badly since he got there, but Lunin has done even better in the few games he’s played.

Second, Lunin plays for Real Madrid while Kepa is only on loan from Chelsea, so it makes sense to play him more. However, rumors sаy that Ancelotti wants Kepa to be signed permanently next summer so that he can be Courtois’s backup when she gets better.

You can see why it makes sense. Kepa is older than Lunin and has played a lot of football for Athletic Club and Chelsea over the years. He would make a great number two if Real Madrid decide to go this route next summer.

Because of this, Lunin’s future at Real Madrid has been closely watched. A lot of people thought that his deal would end next summer, so if he didn’t play, he would be able to leave as a free agent. It’s thought that his deal will last until 2025, though, which makes things more difficult.

Not likely, Lunin will want to stay at Real Madrid next season because he will be behind Courtois and maybe even Kepa. He has shown that he is more than ready to be the starting goalie, which is what he wants to be. But Real Madrid will probably want a fee to let him go, which could stop teams from moving for him.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out. Real Madrid is happy to have Courtois back, but they still don’t know who will play in his place next season. Kepa will definitely be under more heat over the next few weeks because Lunin has been playing so well without him on the field.
