Manchester United have announced that Amad Diallo, a highly-rated young star, has fully recovered from a long injury and is now back in full training

Diallo hurt his knee badly in July and didn’t get back to grass training until late October.

Everton, Burnley, and West Ham were among the Premier League clubs interested in acquiring the Ivorian forward for the 2023–24 season, and he was widely expected to have a breakout season for Manchester United or another Premier League team on loan.

The Black Cats advanced to the Championship play-offs last season thanks in large part to the 21-year-old’s sensational loan stint with Sunderland, during which he scored fourteen goals and added four assists.

Despite the setback to his development caused by the ιnjury, United announced on Thursday that “Amad has returned to full training with the first-team squad, as he gets back to fitness after a knee ιnjury.” This suggests that he might still have a significant impact for the club.

In their early team announcement before Saturday’s match against Bournemouth, the Red Devils revealed that they are still dealing with a number of ailments.

Rafael Varane’s ailing back prevented him from being included to the team for Wednesday’s 2-1 home victory over Chelsea.Notable benchwarmers include Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro, and Lisandro Martinez.

Young United player Kobbie Mainoo has impressed since returning to action last month after a long ιnjury, and Diallo will be looking to emulate his success.

HOTTER CUTS

Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Martial, and Facundo Pellistri have all been awful up front for United this season, with a combined total of four goals and five assists.

Regardless, they will face Bournemouth in sixth place, tied for fifth place with Tottenham and three points behind Manchester City.
