Last month, Gal marked 14 years of marriage to her 47-year-old spouse, real estate developer Jaron Varsano. The pair has three daughters: Daniela, 16 months, Alma, 10, and Maya, 5.

The movie star’s next motion picture endeavors encompass a reimagining of Alfred Hitchcock’s romantic suspense thriller To Catch A Thief.

Cary Grant and Grace Kelly played the main roles in the 1955 Hitchcock film, which was based on a mystery novel by David Dodge.

There are other current projects by Gal that delve into areas previously explored by Old Hollywood, outside the updated remake of To Catch A Thief.

In addition, the actress is producing and starring in an upcoming film about Cleopatra, which has drawn controversy due to the fact that the lead actress is white.

Despite her Greek ethnicity, Cleopatra has been accused of “whitewashing” because of the white actors who have portrayed her.

In response to the debate, Gal stated in an interview with BBC Arabic that Cleopatra was Macedonian if one were to be truthful to the facts.

“We searched for an actress from Macedonia who would be a good fit for Cleopatra.” I was really passionate about Cleopatra, and she wasn’t there.

“People are people, and I want to honor this incredible historical icon that I greatly admire and celebrate Cleopatra’s legacy.”

Gal challenged other directors to create rival interpretations of the narrative, saying, “You know, anybody can make this movie and anybody can go ahead and do it.” I’m determined to work alone as well.
