Mohamed Salah Hits Milestone with 200th Goal for Liverpool comeback win Against Crystal Palace

Mohamed Salah achieved a significant milestone by scoring his 200th goal for Liverpool during the match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday. The forward sealed the landmark with a precise finish from close range, adding to his impressive tally of 199 goals in a red shirt, which he achieved in the midweek 4-0 victory over LASK in the Europa League.

This remarkable achievement comes over six years after Salah’s arrival at Anfield from Roma for £34 million, following stints with clubs such as Fiorentina, Chelsea, and Basel. Despite facing challenges in settling at previous clubs, Salah found a home at Anfield and has now joined an exclusive group of only three players who have scored over 200 goals for Liverpool.

The 31-year-old celebrated the accomplishment with his teammates after scoring against Palace, leveling the score at 1-1. Salah’s journey to the double century surpasses milestones set by Liverpool legends like Kenny Dalglish, Robbie Fowler, and Steven Gerrard.

Out of his 200 goals, 148 were in the Premier League, 42 in the Champions League, five in the FA Cup, three in the Europa League, one in the League Cup, and one in the Community Shield. Notably, 30 goals were from penalty kicks, with seven scored in open play.

As Salah prepares to represent Egypt in the African Cup of Nations in January, Liverpool will miss his contributions, considering his significant role in the team’s success over the years.
