With five wins from five European games, the Bavarians have already secured first place in Group A.
Man United has a lot of work ahead of them if they are to get past the German champions to the knockout stages, even though Bayern has already guaranteed their spot in the final 16.
The Red Devils are presently bottom of the group, separated by just one point behind Copenhagen and Galatasaray after managing just four points from their four games.
Man United must defeat Bayern and hope that the other group match ends in a draw in order to push their way into the top two.
The absence of one of Bayern’s attacking threats may give the Red Devils more optimism to win all three points as they prepare for a challenging test.
Following an ιnjury sustained during Bayern Munich’s unexpecteԀ 5-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, Gnabry will not be able to travel to Old Trafford to play.
The former Arsenal player replaced Kingsley Coman off the bench in the 66th minute, however he had to leave the game shortly after due to an ιnjury.
Bayern made the following announcement in a statement on Sunday: “A scan last night indicated Serge Gnabry had a groin strain during Saturday’s 5-1 loss at Eintracht Frankfurt.
“Gnabry, who was forced off the field just five minutes after coming on in Frankfurt, will therefore miss Bayern’s upcoming matches.”
The ιnjury will be a major setback for the Germany international, who has had trouble staying healthy this season.
Gnabry has struggled to regain his best form this season, managing just one goal in 11 competitive appearances after failing to enjoy a run of games.
That one goal came during Bayern’s tҺrilling 4-3 triumph against Man United in the first group match of September.
Tarek Buchmann, Gabriel Marusic, Bouna Sarr, Matthijs de Ligt, and Tarek Buchmann are also out of commission for Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel.
