According to reports, Chelsea is willing to spend big money on a single January acquisition to bolster their attack.
The Blues will put in a lot of effort to sign Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyokeres since they have a higher chance of closing that deal, according to TeamTalk.

It’s no secret that the Blues, who appear dissatisfied with the current choices, plan to acquire a striker when the transfer window reopens.
Thus far this season at Sanford Bridge, neither Nicolas Jackson nor Armando Broja have done enough to secure a starting position.
When Chelsea and Arsenal played at home this season, it may have been their best performance to yet. Neither team started the match.
Chelsea to go all out for Gyokeres
The main two targets if reports are to be believed Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney, both of whom look as if they want to leave their current clubs.
Aaron Lennon now makes honest claim about Mauricio Pochettino’s training after rumours of ‘rift’ between them
However, it has been noted how difficult and expensive both of those transfers could prove to be.
Yesterday saw reports of the Napoli man close to signing a new deal that will involve a healthy release clause.
For that reason, the Blues may look elsewhere, and feel more confident striking a deal for Gyokeres.
It has been claimed that Mauricio Pochettino believes this is the more doable deal, which could inspire Chelsea to make a proper move in that direction.
It has been claimed that he has a release clause of £87m, with this, quite a bit less than the reported one for Osimhen.
Chelsea should make sure that if they do sign a number nine, that he is of elite quality in order to not fall into the trap they have this season.
