After Andre Onana’s troubles with Manchester United, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson gives some advise

Since joining Old Trafford from Inter Milan in a £47.2 million transfer in the summer, the 27-year-old has made several mistakes and has failed to live up to the enormous price tag.

Five and a half years ago, Alisson made a comparable transfer, exchanging Serie A side Roma for Merseyside. Since then, he has solidified his position as one of the top goalkeepers in the division.

Despite feeling weighed down by United’s collective troubles and the immense vacuum left by David de Gea, the Brazilian is certain that Onana will ultimately find his footing in a similar manner.

“A really good goalkeeper” was Alisson’s assessment of Onana when questioned about him by The Telegraph. Last year’s Champions League was just incredible.

When asked about the Cameroonian’s struggles, Alisson said: “I was lucky in that I was coming to a team that was with everything already going in a different way; that was building.”

“He needs to cultivate patience and do his best with everything happening in his life.”I believe he will succeed because he is the type of person who, right now, needs everyone’s help.

Coming from an Italian club to an English one, for a hefty sum of money, is a lot like what he’s going through.

“This is a great deal of pressure to bear, and he arrived here knowing he would have to step in and replace David De Gea, who was not exactly playing at his peak, but was still producing results.”Replacing him is a huge accomplishment in one’s career, as he brought a lot of good to Manchester United and made several appearances for the club.

I have faith in his abilities to handle this task, although it can be more time-consuming for some than others.

Switching teams and leagues is a big deal. Their efforts to evolve and find themselves might have a significant impact on you.
