Sadly, in the end Independiente were taken to penalties and missed all their kicks (with Paez on the bench) to let the league slip away.

Paez will fly to train with Chelsea next week now his season with IDV is over.

 Cuando todos en Europa se preparaban para dormir el domingo por la noche, el cedido de Chelsea Kendry Paez marcó en el segundo partido final del playoff de la liga ecuatoriana.

Cuando el joven avanzó por el medio campo y anotó un fuerte disparo en el costado inferior, su Independiente del Valle tomó ventaja sobre LDU Quito.

Desafortunadamente, al final Independiente fue sometido a penalties y falló todos sus disparos (con Paez en el banquillo) para permitir que la liga se alejara.

Paez viajará en avión con Chelsea la próxima semana después de que su temporada con IDV haya finalizado.
