Real Madrid is planning a surprise move to get Mauro Icardi in January.
According to reports, Real Madrid could make a surprise move for Mauro Icardi, a scorer for Galatasaray, in January.
Because of how well he played in the Champions League with Gala this season, Icardi is back at the top of the European stage.
As the game ended, 3-2, at Old Trafford, the 30-year-old scored the game-winning goal, just minutes after missing a penalty a few minutes earlier.
Icardi only helped Galatasaray finish third in the group, but he has been hitting goals like crαzy at home, where the Turkish giants are tied for first place with Fenerbahce.
Real Madrid wants to sign Icardi in January, according to Marca.
The report says that Icardi would substitute for Joselu and fιgнт for a spot in the starting eleven.
Some people didn’t like Joselu’s first few years at Real, but the 33-year-old has still scored nine goals even though he hasn’t been a regular member of the team.
At the start of the season, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti liked Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior as a starting strike pair. However, an ιnjury to Vinicius Junior has split up that pair for now.
After getting hurt while playing for Brazil in mid-November, Vini Jr. was told he would be out for up to 10 weeks. This means he might not be able to come back until the Champions League starts up again in February.
Real has won five of the six games since Vini Jr. got hurt, but it looks like they will be looking for a new attacker in January.
Toward the end of the 2010s, Icardi was one of the most sought-after players in Europe. This was especially true when he was playing for Inter Milan.
Icardi came through Barcelona’s La Masia youth program and had six great seasons with Inter Milan, even though they didn’t win any big titles during that time.
Icardi moved from Sampdoria to Inter in 2013 and scored 124 goals before getting a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Because he had to play behind Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and finally Argentine star Lionel Messi, Icardi’s numbers went down a bit, and he quickly lost favor at the Parc des Princes.
Then Galatasaray tried to get Icardi to move to Turkey. He has scored 40 goals in 52 games there, including five in the Champions League.
But he left Spain for Italy 13 years ago, and if he ever comes back to play for Barcelona’s bitter foes, it will definitely make the news.
