A new video from Emma Stone’s Poor Things launch in London gave the world a sight of her amicable ex-partner Andrew Garfield. Garfield was present, and a different visitor recorded Stone spotting him in the crowd, which they then uploaded to X. As she and her co-stars left the auditorium, she seemed to point eagerly in his direction.

Another video showing Stone and co-star Mark Ruffalo walking up to Garfield and giving each other hugs appeared online.

While some fans loved the tenderness of the moment and their enduring friendship, others compared it to the conclusion of La La Land.

Before ending their relationship permanently in October 2015, Stone and Garfield dated for four years. Stone later married writer and comedian Dave McCary, whom she had first met in 2016. In March 2021, McCary and Stone welcomed a daughter.

During a conversation about Spider-Man: No Way Home on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in January 2022, Garfield said that he and Stone remained close friends.

He said, “Emma kept texting me.” “Are you in this new Spider-Man movie?” she asked. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I exclaimed. “Shut up, just tell me,” she said. And to be really honest, I It’s funny, so I continued even with her. When she finally saw it, she exclaimed, “You’re a jerk!”

He previously discussed their connection and their time together during award season for different projects in an interview with Vanity Fair in 2017. He said it was anything but awkward because they were friends. “We care about each other so much, and that’s kind of this unconditional thing, so it’s been wonderful.” And there is a great deal of respect and affection shared between us.

Then, and this is even more clear now, he expressed his strong support for her profession, saying, “I’ll speak for myself: You know, I’m her biggest fan as an artist.” Her work inspires me every day. She always inspires me with the way she holds herself. Being able to witness her success and see her develop into the actress that she is has been a source of great joy for me. Additionally, it’s been amazing to have that kind of mutual support. Nothing but beauty can be found in it.
