Training for Marcus Rashford ‘can always be better,’ according to Erik ten Hag

In preparation for tomorrow’s match against West Ham in London, Erik ten Hag suggested that Marcus Rashford’s training may use some improvement.

On Rashford’s potential return to the United starting lineup, he offered the following advice:

Last week, he didn’t play in either of the matches against Bayern Munich and Liverpool because he was sick. The last month has been rather successful for Garnacho as well, so there is healthy competition amongst us.

As a manager, I have complete faith in Hojlund and Rashford, and I always give them my full backing. The players, though, know that they need even more trust and support from me.

“Rashford showed last year that he can score goals while I was his coach. Regarding Rasmus Hojund, I hold the same views and convictions.

The manager’s response, when asked whether he had observed Rashford’s correct response during training, was:

“He’s improving in his workouts. Even though he’s just in his mid-20s, he’s already a seasoned pro who understands the ins and outs of elite football and isn’t afraid to step up when called upon. I have faith in him to lead the team.

After that, they wŠ°nted to know if Ten Hag had investigated the Ī¹njury situation at Old Trafford.

“We conducted research on the matter, but there are numerous factors involved; it’s impossible to isolate a single cause,” he stated. “But right now, we need to address this and get the players back.”

Would he be able to reduce injuries through his research?

“There are times when we’ve had some unfortunate events and it has hurt us. We’ve had problems in important positions,” he responded.

A lot of center backs are sick or hurt right now, so we’re in a similar position. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia were the left backs before. Meanwhile, Diallo was hurt and we were having issues on the right wing, with issues surrounding Antony.

“Remember Casemiro; he’s a key player for us, and he’s out for a long time.”

Next, we wŠ°nted to know the manager’s thoughts on Andre Onana’s performance and if he planned to compete in the upcoming AFCON tournament.

Saying, “I’m quite comfortable,” he continued.

“Andre Onana had a fantastic game at Anfield and in the Premier League as a whole. However, we have a formidable guard squad ready to go when he goes there. Teaming up with bayindir and Tom Heaton. Therefore, we feel at ease there. Certainly, Andre. We are crossing our fingers that he is free.

When asked whether he knew whether Onana was departing, he responded:

“We are currently debating this. If they contact him, you are aware of the rules, but I am unable to provide an answer at this time.
