Liverpool must pay €100 million or more to secure Leroy Sane as Jurgen Klopp considers alternatives for Mohamed Salah’s replacement

According to Fichajes, Liverpool may need to spend a minimum of €100 million to secure the services of Leroy Sane next summer. In the event of Mohamed Salah’s departure for Saudi Arabia, Jurgen Klopp might consider the 27-year-old winger as a potential replacement.

Liverpool recently rejected a significant offer from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah just before the transfer deadline. If Liverpool had indicated their willingness to sell the Egyptian, the Saudi Arabian club might have returned with a more substantial bid in the following days.

Having recently surpassed 200 goals for Liverpool, Salah has been an invaluable contributor to the club. As Saudi clubs are expected to renew their interest in signing Salah next summer, the 31-year-old may contemplate leaving the club.

Jurgen Klopp might use the funds to replenish his team, presenting Liverpool with an opportunity for a substantial payday for their 31-year-old winger. Klopp has explored several potential replacements for Salah, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli emerging as a standout option.

In Liverpool’s radar is German forward Leroy Sane, who is known to command a premium fee. Bayern Munich, the 27-year-old winger’s current club, is reportedly demanding €100 million from any club interested in signing him next summer.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool are intrigued by Sane, as Pep Guardiola seeks to re-sign his former star. Sane could serve as a more experienced alternative to bolster the attack, especially since no one has been brought in to replace Riyad Mahrez.

Despite Bayern’s reported desire to retain Sane for another year, Klopp remains interested in acquiring the 27-year-old winger and may make an effort to do so next summer. With Sane’s contract entering its final year in June 2024, Liverpool might leverage the situation surrounding his contract.
