Mason Mount’s return to Manchester United training is a huge boost for Erik ten Hag’s ιnjury recovery

Mason Mount, a midfielder for Manchester United, has resumed training in preparation for Saturday’s match against Nottingham Forest.

After Tuesday night’s 3-2 comeback victory over Aston Villa, Mount was back at Carrington for training with the rest of the club.

United secured all three points thanks to braces from Alejandro Garnacho and a crucial winner from Rasmus Hojlund.

United haven’t used Mount since he came on as a substitute before the international break on November 11, when he played against Luton Town.

The England international replaced Christian Eriksen, who hurt himself soon before halftime, and came on in the second half.

The Red Devils’ starting eleven that took on Unai Emery’s squad at Old Trafford included Eriksen.

Mount is back with United and should be ready to play competitively soon, according to the club’s official website.

The young man, who is 24 years old, was seen practicing on the field.

This term, Mount has made a total of twelve appearances in all competitions. He has only managed to record one assist.

When United face Forest on Friday, Ten Hag will probably hold a press conference to provide a clearer image of Mount’s health.

Even better news for Ten Hag and the squad is that further players will be returning shortly as well. It is expected that players like Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez will return in January.
