Real Madrid is facing an injury crisis as David Alaba suffers a similar serious cruciate ligament injury like Eder Militao

On social networks, David Alaba spoke out about suffering a ligament injury.

David Alaba tore his ligament in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Villarreal and the club decided to have him undergo surgery. Despite initial estimates showing that the Austrian international could return to the field in the 2023/24 season, to guard against risks, Alaba should avoid re-exporting until at least June 2024.

Alaba’s absence has deepened Real Madrid’s defensive ιnjury crisis at the start of 2023 as Eder Militao rєmains a long-term absentee from the Spanish capital

Alaba’s absence left Los Blancos’ defense even more devastated because before that, Eder Militao was still absent for a long time in the Spanish capital. Real could make a move in the January transfer window, to bring in short-term backup options for Militao and Alaba, but the former Bayern Munich man is confident of returning to full fitness:

“In my career, I have faced a number of challenges, but this is probably one of the biggest so far. I will face it and I will rise to the top.”

Alaba underwent surgery on a torn knee ligament in Austria and he will return to Madrid in January, thereby continuing his recovery process.
