During the calendar year, the 38-year-old scored 54 goals for club and country, including 10 in nine games for Portugal. He joined the Saudi Arabian team in January after his second term with United ended.

After the victory over Al Taawoun, Ronaldo quickly hopped on a plane to his home island of Madeira, where he would spend the winter break. On Sunday, the forward traveled only in time to attend his mother Dolores Alveiro’s 69th birthday celebration.Katia Aveiro, Ronaldo’s sister, posted a video to her social media showing her grandson Cristiano Jr. guiding his grandmother to a surprise present. The new Porsche Cayenne that Ronaldo gave to his mother, complete with a red ribbon bow, caused her to respond emotionally.

“If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift,” Ronaldo’s sister captioned the video. Do right by your parents, and you will have many happy years on this planet.

Due to Al Nassr’s inactivity until their February 12th AFC Champions League match against Al Fehia, Ronaldo was able to have a celebratory family outing. The legendary striker, though, will get another opportunity to face off against Lionel Messi next month.

As a friendly match for the Riyadh Season Cup on February 1, Al Nassr will take on Inter Miami, whose roster includes Messi.
