The young sensation Scalvini is allegedly wаnted by several clubs, including Juventus and Milan, and Man Utd is apparently interested in signing him. According to Metro, Atalanta have announced their asking price for the defender, which is €60 million (£52 million/$66 million).

United appeared to have plenty of center backs at the beginning of the season, but that has since changed. While Varane has been in and out of the team, putting an older Jonny Evans into the starting position, Lisandro Martinez has struggled to remain fit.

This summer, Varane’s contract will end, and the Red Devils will no longer have him as a solid defensive option. Questioned about the central defender’s future with the club, United coach Louis van Gaal has remained evasive, saying only, “We are talking with Rapha Varane and Anthony Martial and we have triggered the options on Lindelof, Hannibal and Wan-Bissaka.”

The teenage defender is certain to be a mainstay on Atalanta’s roster for the remainder of the current campaign, but he may receive a substantial transfer fee this summer.
