In preparation for his loan return to Borussia Dortmund, Jadon Sancho has returned to Germany.
Sancho is prepared to undergo a physical before signing a contract that will keep him with the club until the end of the season, marking a breakthrough in the negotiations that have raged for more than a week between Manchester United and Dortmund.
The agreement is anticipated to be finalized very soon and is a pure loan without any option to buy.
Ruhr Nachrichten BVB posted video of the 23-year-old’s Tuesday night arrival in Dortmund to social media.
United manager Erik ten Hag banished Sancho, and now Dortmund is going to pay a portion of his salary plus a little fee to the Red Devils. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.
Dortmund hoped to finalize Sancho’s transfer before next week’s training camp in Marbella.
Ten Hag and Sancho have been at odds since last September, when Sancho’s supervisor openly criticized him.
After the 23-year-old retaliated on social media in September over the manager’s assertions that he had been benched for his “training performance,” the Dutchman barred him from training with the rest of the team.
United confirmed on September 14 that the England winger would not be exercising with the main group. He joined United for £73 million from Dortmund in 2021, but he hasn’t played for United since August, when they beаt Nottingham Forest 3-2.
Subsequently, he trained both independently and alongside academy players from Manchester United.
Even Sancho’s Instagram account is back up and running, with a new profile photo of him from his time at Dortmund and a mysteriоus message for fans.
Although he has not yet posted anything to his account, the 9.7 million people who follow him have received the strongest indication that the change is almost finalized.
