“Cris, observe and take notes!” Cristiano Ronaldo scores a long-range screamer of his own, imitating his son’s spectacular free-kιck, and then yells out “siiuuu!” as he celebrates with Al-Nassr.
After his son scored an outstanding free kιck earlier this week, Cristiano Ronaldo repeated the move to teach his son how it’s done.
On the practice field, Ronaldo demonstrated his ability to score from long range by sending a free kιck into the top corner. The hero of Al-Nassr placed the words “Cris, watch and learn” next to a replica of his son’s training session effort, which was thirteen years old. Finally, he finished it off with his signature “Siu” dance move.
With Al-Nassr, Ronaldo is getting ready to play again. With an incredible 24 goals in just 25 appearances across all competitions, the 38-year-old has been instrumental in the Saudi Arabian side’s title push and AFC Champions League pursuit.
Ronaldo and the rest of Al-Nassr’s roster will face Inter Miami, led by Lionel Messi, in an all-star friendly at the beginning of February. After their AFC Champions League match against Al-Feiha on February 12, they will return to league play three days later.
Cristiano Ronaldo sold one of his five Ballon d’Ors and now only has four
It is customary for the winner to return the authentic Ballon d’Or to the team they represented when they won it.
Another possibility is that it goes to their private museum or trophy collection. Nevertheless, according to MARCA, Ronaldo requested that his 2013 Ballon d’Or be donated to charity.
After Lionel Messi had won the Ballon d’Or for four consecutive years, Ronaldo won his second trophy of the career in 2013.
With 27.99% of the voting, Ronaldo came out on top, while Messi secured second place with 24.72%.All of the money raised from its sale benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of sick children.
Taking held in London, the tournament was won by the richest man in Israel, Idan Ofer, who bid an incredible €600,000.
He was joined by Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s long-time representative, as they posed with the gold award.
Meeting famous manager Pep Guardiola was also up for grabs at the same auction. Ballon d’Or auctions are rare, but in 2021, the collectibles and trophies owned by Real Madrid great Alfredo di Stefano fetched a pretty penny.
Two years later, in 1957, he won a second Ballon d’Or, which he sold for £54,400. His first one went for £60,800. A successful bid of £187,500 was made for the rare ‘Suρer Ballon d’Or,’ which is currently owned by none other than Di Stefano.
Since Ronaldo did not win the Ballon d’Or until 2017, Lionel Messi has taken a commanding lead in the competition, having won eight of them.
