Gal Gadot gets into the holiday spirit and makes traditional Jewish pastries with her daughters ahead of Purim
Gal Gadot entered the kitchen to begin a long-standing custom of preparing specialized sweets in advance of Purim, and she delighted in spending some quality time with two of her three children.
The 36-year-old actress appeared to be having the time of her life as she shaped dough into Hamantash, also known as Hamantaschen, for the Jewish festival that falls between Wednesday and Thursday.
The event is recognized as a happy occasion honoring the Jewish people’s survival as recounted in the Jewish bible’s Scroll of Esther, a Persian king’s wife who concealed her Jewish heritage.

Jewish people recognize Esther’s bravery every year by remembering her family and community in response to the monarch Haman’s attempt to eradicate the Jews from the Persian Empire. Esther was able to persuade the king not to kill the Jews in addition to saving herself.
She posted a carousel of photos with her daughters, saying, “Making Hamantash with my girls is definitely one of my favorite things about Purim.” Purim is one of her favorite holidays.
