Michail Antonio freely acknowledges that he’really rates’ Rasmus Hojlund following the Man Utd star’s continuation of impressive play against West Ham.

With Rasmus Hojlund continuing his impressive form for Manchester United, West Ham’s Michail Antonio revealed that he’really rates’ the striker.

Before United’s 3-2 victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, Hojlund had failed to score in the Premier League. However, he has scored four goals in as many games and is beginning to play like the £72 million striker the club acquired in the summer.

With his goal in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Antonio’s West Ham, he has helped his team climb to sixth place in the Premier League rankings despite a challenging season.

Antonio is a fan and was a commentator for Monday’s Manchester City game (vs. Brentford) on Sky Sports.

The Hammers star spoke before the game and said he had predicted Hojlund would have a successful season, adding that Hojlund has proven he can contribute in more ways than one.

“To tell you the trutҺ, I was impressed by what I saw early in the season,” Antonio started. A striker’s value to a club is based on more than simply his goal-scoring prowess; a player’s physicality, ability to link up with teammates, willingness to run the ball, and, of course, goal-scoring prowess are all important.

The goal they scored yesterday was top-notch; a fake shot pulled into his right foot, which is weak, and he struck it brilliantly into the bottom corner. I think he’s great.

Despite scoring five goals in the Champions League group stages, Hojlund failed to score in United’s league until the 19th game of the season.

United have had a Һit-or-miss season in the league this year, with periods of poor goal-scoring performance.

On the other hand, Antonio thinks the 21-year-old is now seeing results from his efforts and lauded him for his perseverance.

“As a striker, you’re always going to be expected to score goals, but there will be times when you’re just human and you won’t,” he remarked. The most important thing is that you have self-confidence and that you will seize opportunities when they present themselves. Then, after you seize those opportunities, you will feel like you’re going for a run.

Keep your emotions in check and have faith in your abilities; they will carry you through. If he couldn’t score goals, he wouldn’t be in his current position at United.

At the end of the day, it’s a team sport, and the team’s purpose is to assist each other, so being able to bring other players into the game and run in behind is important for a center forward. Of course, scoring goals is also important, but being a complete player is more important.
