Zendaya  awarded the Yoobi Changemaker Award for her efforts to support Oakland schools and communities

In Oakland, California, Zendaya’s hometown, she is giving back! The 23-year-old actress and Yoobi, a retailer of school supplies, announced on September 19 that Yoobi would be donating to 450 pupils at Global Family Elementary School. Before dropping by a fifth-grade classroom to personally give pencil cases brimming with crayons, markers, pencils, glue sticks, and other supplies, she made an unexpected appearance at the school to announce the news. She even lingered to paint and converse with a few of the children.

In addition, the Euphoria actress received the Yoobi Changemaker Award in recognition of her work to Oakland communities and schools. “Thank you @yoobi for helping me surprise every student at a very special school in my hometown of Oakland with school supplies to start the school year off right!” she wrote on her Instagram picture.
