In the film Challengers, Zendaya plays the role of Tashi Duncan, a budding tennis player who catches the eye of Patrick and Art, played by Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist, two of her closest friends and fellow players.
The rival couple, nevertheless, initially seems more interested in Tashi’s future self than her current self.
In the teaser, Patrick tells Art, ‘She’s going to make her whole family a millionaire. She’ll have a foundation, a fashion line.
Later, when the friends invite the rising celebrity to hang around, things get hot and steamy.
“How frequently does this occur, pursuing the same girl?” Tashi queries.
“Not as frequently as you might think,” responds Patrick.

Tashi is unable to work due to a serious knee injury, so she coaches her husband using her enormous skills.
“I am playing for our mutual benefit,” he informs his irate spouse.
It soon becomes apparent that at least one of the power couple’s members is in the marriage primarily for commercial purposes.
She convinces Art to participate in the Challengers competition, where he would face his old friend on the court and rekindle old feelings, even though he is currently on a losing streak.
To get ready for the role, Zendaya trained with tennis pro and former player Brad Gilbert.
