When Manchester United beat Everton 2-0 on Saturday in the Premier League, Bruno Fernandes was back to being the creative force he used to be.

The Portugal international has had a pretty average season by his high standards, but against Everton, he looked more sure of himself when making decisions in the final third.

Five chances were made by Fernandes against Sean Dyche’s team. One of them lead to Alejandro Garnacho’s penalty. He scored the first goal from the penalty spot.

To go along with his goal, Fernandes had 71 touches, 44 passes, and seven ball clearances. If Jordan Pickford hadn’t done so well, he might have scored a hat trick.

Fernandes almost scored with a free kick, but Pickford made a great save with his fingertip. Just after the hour mark, the Englishman made another great stop.

With the win earlier today, United is now only eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth place.

Spurs are the team that Villa has to play tomorrow at Villa Park. Fans of United will be hoping that Spurs win the game and get all three points.The club’s attention will now shift to the FA Cup quarterfinal, where they will face Liverpool. On March 17, the North West match will take place.

United might have a much-needed boost going into the game. In fact, manager Erik ten Hag has said that Rasmus Hojlund might be able to play in the Cup match.

Guys like Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also likely to return to team training before the very awaited match at Old Trafford.
