Zendaya is humorously dispelling the engagement rumors that have been circulating about her relationship status with boyfriend Tom Holland, despite her first disbelief at them.

The 27-year-old Challengers star showed off her daily ensemble on Thursday by sharing a picture on her Instagram Story.

The big ring on her hand caught the attention of fans right once, and soon after, there were whispers of Zendaya’s purported engagement.

Later, the Emmy-winning actress addressed the ring finger jewelry in a since-deleted video that has been republished by a number of social media accounts.

“You guys, I uploaded the picture of my cap, not the ring on my right finger! Do you really believe that’s how I would break the news? She chuckled, obviously perplexed by the rumors.

Zendaya appeared to have removed the initial photo, but she later published it again to her Instagram Story, making it abundantly evident that she had no intention of using it.

She added on the picture, “Let me just put the full body back so ya’ll can relax.”

Since confirming their romance in July 2021, Zendaya and her co-star in Spider-Man: No Way Home have kept their relationship relatively quiet. Additionally, she just revealed to Elle that she intends to keep their romance private.

“I acknowledge that some aspects of my life will be made public,” Zendaya declared. “It is impossible for me to be a person, go about my life, and love the person I love.”

“But also, I do have control over what I choose to share,” she said. It’s about not being frightened to exist, about letting things be your own, and about defending the peace. You are unable to hide. That is also not enjoyable. Right now, I’m navigating it more than ever.

Fans have, however, been privy to some of their romance through charming interviews and Instagram pictures.

The Wondery podcast Smartless, hosted by Jason Bateman, featured a July episode featuring Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. The 27-year-old Spider-Man actor revealed that mutual understanding is the key to why he and Zendaya get along so well.

“I’m lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life,” Holland stated. “Being in a romantic relationship with someone who is in the same situation as you is interesting.”

“You can share your experiences and all that kind of stuff, and that’s worth its weight in gold,” the speaker went on.

Along with two cute pictures, he also wished his fiancée a happy birthday on his Instagram Story on September 1. He commented, “My birthday girl,” and included an emoji of hearts.
