Since joining Old Trafford last summer, United’s £60 million acquisition from Chelsea has failed to ignite his career.

Before getting hurt in training in November, the England international played his final game for the club in November against Luton. He had played 12 times for the club before to that.Everyone thought Mount would be back by now, but he’s been having trouble getting back to full fitness.

On Tuesday, though, he exercised among his teammates at Carrington, and he looked to be in good spirits as he appeared to be nearing a return. He was seen smiling broadly as he made his way out the door with Antony and Diogo Dalot.

He may be nearing a return to action for the Red Devils, as other photographs showed him running with his teammates and also getting engaged in some on-ball practice.

On their official website, United confirmed the news, noting that Mount has worked hard to get fit again and has “remained upbeat and positive throughout his rehabilitation.”

Manager Erik ten Hag addressed Mount’s fitness concerns before Saturday’s victory over Everton, saying: “Mason Mount.” After the international break, I believe he will return soon; he is now enjoying a fantastic run.

The words made by Ten Hag indicate that he will not be playing in Sunday’s FA Cup quarterfinal match against Liverpool. However, he may be considered for a starting role in the away match against Brentford on March 30.

The 25-year-old, who joined United before Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund during the summer transfer window, has had a tough season.
