The Ligue 1 powerhouses had first shown interest in Rashford, but they were unsuccessful in 2022 when he inked a new contract worth more than £300,000 per week.

Rashford is one of several strikers that PSG has targeted in their revived pursuit of a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who is poised to join Real Madrid at the season’s end.The Daily Mirror reports that insiders at the Parc des Princes are persuaded they can take advantage of Rashford’s present instability at United.’

With just seven goals in thirty-four appearances in all competitions and a disciplinary record from manager Erik ten Hag, Rashford is having a tough season.United must continue to follow the Financial Fair Play rules, and they are still in a financial mess off the field despite the money injection from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS.

According to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability criteria, if Rashford were to be sold, his status as a home-grown player would be considered pure profit.

The funds might be reallocated to bolster Ten Hag’s underperforming team.

According to The Mirror, Rashford recently spoke about his dedication to United in an interview with The Players’ Tribune, but PSG is certain they can entice him to Paris. After turning down offers from major clubs two years ago, he scored 30 goals last season—a career high—and signed a lucrative deal that would keep him in the league until 2028.

Although Wayne Rooney is hopeful that Rashford will become a “one club man,” the United star has questioned whether Rashford may need to depart in pursuit of a fresh chapter.

At least he isn’t alone, Rooney expressed his wish to TNT Sports last week. As a United and England player, you can expect a lot of scrutiny.

I hope he regains his form and has a long career here; he’s a Manchester lad. Perhaps he should try out for a different club.

With the new INEOS product, I’m hoping he can finally be a one-club man.
