The score was 1-1 from the first leg before the match.

But Dortmund was playing the return match in front of their fantastic home crowd, so they had the upper hand.

At Signal Iduna Park, Sancho scored his loan team’s first goal just three minutes into the match.

Julian Brandt found the Manchester United player with a pass right outside the penalty area. After taking a little touch to gather himself, he widened his body and squished the ball past the defender’s legs into the net.

For the first time in almost two years, Sancho has scored in back-to-back matches, and it was a magnificent goal.

Striker Luuk de Jong missed a fantastic opportunity to tie the game and send it into overtime, but both teams kept trying to score. PSV came close in the closing minutes.

Marco Reus scored PSV’s worst nightmare goal when, seconds after De Jong missed, a defender messed up and allowed him to run in alone.

In a one-on-one match against the goalie, the German forward wasted little time securing Dortmund’s triumph and eliminating the Eredivisie heavyweights from the competition.

Reus came in for Sancho after he had played 75 minutes.

Since Sancho has come clean about his inadequacy for Dortmund, he appears to be making a comeback. When the Bundesliga heavyweights face Eintracht Frankfurt this coming weekend, he will certainly be aiming to make another impression.
