The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion made appearances at two shows during Paris Fashion Week, attending presentations by the fashion houses Balmain and Off-White.
At the Balmain show, Williams wore a black midi dress embellished with a white rose down the front. Notable attendees at the event included singer Cher and actress Ashley Park, known for her role as Mindy Chen on “Emily in Paris.” For the Off-White show, Williams was accompanied by models Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Graham, recording artists Halle Bailey and Willow Smith, and actress Lisa Rinna, among others.
During the shows, Williams had the opportunity to preview the fall and winter collections for 2024-25. Of particular significance is her personal connection to Off-White, founded by her close friend Virgil Abloh. Abloh, who tragically passed away in 2021 after battling cancer, had collaborated with Williams’ longtime apparel sponsor Nike to design her match attire for the 2018 US Open and the 2019 French Open. He also created a custom pair of Nike Air Force 1s for Williams to wear at the 2019 Met Gala.
In February 2022, Williams walked the runway in honor of the designer at Paris Fashion Week, paying homage to her late friend once again on Instagram with the hashtag “#VirgilForever,” accompanied by snapshots of her outfit for this year’s show—a stunning black bodycon dress with side cutouts and a black-and-white varsity letter jacket.
During the Off-White show, Williams playfully interacted with The People Gallery, a popular fashion TikTok account managed by Brooklyn-based stylist Maurice Kamara, which boasts a following of 1 million. She jokingly remarked that her “high-school boyfriend” had given her the accent piece and shared a style tip for fashion enthusiasts everywhere.
