In a heartwarming Instagram post, Zendaya shares her pride for Tom Holland ahead of the premiere of their upcoming Spider-Man movie. Alongside two pictures, one featuring Holland in his Spider-Man suit on set and another adorable throwback snap of him as a young boy donning the same outfit, Zendaya affectionately labels him “My Spider-Man.” She writes, “I’m so proud of you. Some things never change and good thing♥️.”
Spider-Man: No Way Home, set to hit theaters this Friday, also stars Benedict Cumberbatch and continues the story from 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. The third installment in this Spider-Man iteration will see the return of actors from previous Spider-Man franchises, including Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Willem Dafoe.
During a recent promotional event, Holland and Zendaya addressed audience observations about their height difference on-screen. Holland dismissed the notion, emphasizing that their height disparity isn’t significant. Zendaya added, “This is normal, too. My mom is taller than my dad. My mom’s taller than everyone.”
Reflecting on the audition process, Holland noted that many actresses who auditioned for Zendaya’s role of MJ were actually taller than him. He praised director Jon Watts for potentially breaking stereotypes with casting choices.
Regarding their on-screen kiss, Zendaya described it as “a nice sweet moment between them.”
