Kansas City Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce prove there’s no shortage of camaraderie, even with a playful jab.
While discussing the excitement surrounding new wide receiver Hollywood Brown, Mahomes (28) couldn’t resist a friendly tease at Kelce (34), one of the Chiefs’ veterans.
“Hollywood’s hunger to win is impressive,” Mahomes said at the 101 Awards in Missouri. “He clearly wants to be part of something special, something great. That’s exactly what we’re building here in Kansas City, and we believe we’re just getting started. We still have a young team – well, except for Trav,” he added with a smirk.

Beyond their championship chemistry on the field, Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce boast a strong bond that extends off the field. From golfing together to cheering each other on at games, their camaraderie is well-documented. This month, their friendship took an exciting turn as they ventured into business together.
On March 14th, Noble 33, a hospitality group known for its restaurants, announced a partnership with the dynamic duo to launch “1587 Prime,” a modern steakhouse in Kansas City. The clever name playfully references their jersey numbers, 15 and 87.
“We’ve been fans of Noble 33 in other cities,” Mahomes shared in a press release. “Bringing something special to our Kansas City community felt like the perfect fit.” Kelce echoed the sentiment, expressing their excitement about creating a unique dining experience in their home town.
