Helping Hands charity: Tennis legend Serena Williams helps build school in Jamaica

Beyond her accomplishments as a tennis champion, Serena Williams has always been a staunch advocate for social causes. Through the Serena Williams Fund, she has initiated the construction of new schools in Jamaica and various countries across Africa. With an impressive tally of 39 Grand Slam titles, Williams recently collaborated with the nonprofit organization Helping Hands Jamaica to build the Marsh Elementary School in Jamaica.

Additionally, schools on the African continent have been established in partnership with Build Africa. This commitment to education extends to countries like Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. Williams’ nonprofit organization, the Serena Williams Fund, is dedicated to promoting equity, particularly through education, regardless of gender, race, disability, or any other barriers hindering individuals from achieving their aspirations and living fulfilling lives.
