Tom Holland’s Heartbreak: Fond Farewell to Beloved Dog Tessa as Dad Honors Her with a Touching Tribute

The loss of a furry buddy is being mourned by Tom Holland and his family.

Shortly after his father Dominic Holland wrote about the family pet’s passing on his blog, the 27-year-old Spider-Man: No Way Home star posted a picture of his late dog Tessa on Sunday.

“Missing my lady,” Tom posted a vintage image of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Instagram.

Along with his dad’s post, he also uploaded a picture of Tessa on his Instagram Story with the caption “T-day.”

Dominic, 56, revealed that Tessa’s аshes were dispersed under a tree that the family had planted in their front yard.

“This is not so much a memorial service as it is a glimpse into the last moments of a remarkable little dog who had come to rule my family—in fact, she was the only Holland that everyone adored unconditionally,” he wrote.

When Tessa was a puppy and Tom was still living at home in 2014, they adopted her.

“Let me introduce you all to little Tess.” With a picture of the puppy perched on his shoulder, he posted, “The newest member of the family,” on Instagram at the time.

Tessa was raised by her father Dominic and mother Nikki when Tom walked out, along with his brothers Harry and Sam, who are both 25 years old, and Pаddy, who is 19 years old.

However, Tessa and the British actor stayed close, with him frequently taking her to red carpet events and film locations.

The British actor often brought Tessa to movie sets and red carpets, telling Time she is 'the sweetest, most angelic thing you'll ever meet'

He said to Time in 2017 that he “loves her, she is an angel,” following their attendance at a Spider-Man: Homecoming promotional event.

The misconception that staffies are extremely deadly canines is unfounded. They don’t act hоstile. You will never meet someone as sweet and angelic as her.

“Yeah, I took her along because I’ve always wаnted to take her to a press event,” he continued.

Tom added, “At first, she got really scаred of the cameras and just ran away.” However, she later returned and seemed to have a great time.

The Holland family’s loss coincides with Tom’s getting ready to perform in New York when his Broadway transfer of his current West End Romeo & Juliet revival takes place next month.

Tickets for the February presentation of the London stage show sold out in two hours, despite receiving a ‘barrage of disgusting racial hatred’ regarding Francesca Amewudah-Rivers’ diverse casting as Juliet.
