In clips from the party, the musicians smiled for family photos — and Rihanna playfully dangled RZA upside down
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky pulled out all the stops to celebrate their son’s special day! For their older son RZA’s second birthday, the “Umbrella” songstress, 36, and the “L$D” rapper, 35, hosted a private party at Color Factory in New York City on Saturday, May 11.
Their younger son, 9-month-old Riot, was also in attendance, as seen in photos and videos shared by party guests, including producer President Hitkidd and his wife, makeup artist Jasmine B. Cook, known as “Jazzy B.”
Jazzy B took to her Instagram account to give a glimpse into the extravagant celebration organized by RZA’s parents. The party featured toys, slides, and even a ball pit, with colorful decorations adorning the venue, including a prominent “RZA’s 2ND BIRTHDAY” banner and large cutouts of the toddler’s head.
The makeup artist, accompanied by her two children at the event, also captured a video of Rihanna, Rocky, RZA, and Riot happily posing together for a family portrait against a vibrant pink backdrop.
In the footage, flower petals cascaded around the group as they were photographed on a simulated street named “RZA Way,” with RZA sitting on his father’s lap and Riot in his mother’s arms.
Additionally, in the video, Rocky directed the birthday boy’s attention toward the camera, encouraging him to “look,” although RZA seemed more engrossed in the festivities happening around him.
In another video posted by Jazzy B, the roles are reversed, with Rocky now cradling baby Riot while the Savage X Fenty founder, Rihanna, holds RZA upside down.
As fellow party attendees sang the “Happy Birthday” song to RZA, Rihanna, the mother of two, playfully swung her energetic toddler, who was crawling around her lap, by his legs. Everyone, including her rapper partner, chuckled along with the playful moment.
Yet another clip from the N.Y.C. party shows Rihanna and Riot meeting Hitkidd and Jazzy B’s eldest child. The “Diamonds” singer gave the little one, who appeared a bit tired and unenthused, a sweet hug.
“When you mad at Rihanna for not dropping anymore music,” the kiddo’s dad, Hitkidd, jokingly captioned the clip.
In the caption of her own post, Jazzy B wrote, “Celebrating RZA 🎉 Boy do you know how to throw a party! We loved celebrating you. The BIG 2! Slow down!”
Referring to pics that she and Rihanna snapped with their children, she added: “Me & Rih just 2 BAD A– Pisces mamas w/ our 2 boys. I love that for us!”
Before RZA’s second birthday, a source from the music management industry shared insights with PEOPLE about the lifestyle of his celebrity parents, emphasizing that family is their top priority.
