Elly De La Cruz Made Sweetest Gesture for Reds Teammate During Postgame Interview
Fans loved this awesome interaction between De La Cruz and Alexis Diaz.
Cincinnati Reds star Elly De La Cruz is paying special attention to his own.
The Reds phenom was seen crashing colleague Alexis Diaz’s postgame interview after Cincinnati’s 3-2 win over the New York Yankees for what ended up being an unbelievably smart explanation.
Knowing that Diaz, a local of Puerto Rico, was all the while attempting to learn English, De La Cruz attempted to assist the Reds pitcher with chipping away at his language understanding and talking abilities by taking the mic and directing the meeting himself.
“You were frightened at this time against [Juan] Soto?” De La Cruz asked Diaz prior to passing the mic to Diaz’s interpreter. “You was somewhat anxious, or you was like, truly publicity?”
“Never apprehensive,” Diaz said.
“That is my person,” De La Cruz said with a wide grin.
The two colleagues then shared a sweet hug.
