With a fast-paced attacking display, Man United impressed their US fans in what was maybe their best preseason performance to date.

Erik ten Hag’s team grabbed the initiative right away and nearly opened the score in a matter of minutes.

At the heart of the attack was Amad, who skillfully threaded a through ball to Jadon Sancho, who buried it into the back of the net. Regretfully, it was determined that he was slightly offside.

But Amad wouldn’t have to wait long for his next chance to shine. In the 24th minute, with the score tied 1-1, the winger found his game after converting a superb cross from Harry Amass. Amad gave United the lead with a single touch before smashing the ball into the far corner, giving the keeper no chance.

Amad maintained his tenacity and intensity in the second half, setting Casemiro up for a long-range attempt with a perfectly put through ball.

Without Amad in their lineup after his substitution in the 62nd minute, United found it difficult to sustain their offensive style.

Throughout the latter third, the rising star was a constant, hitting one goal and blocking another. He successfully completed two of his three dribbles, and more importantly, he won the penalty that Rashford scored.

Amad possessed exceptional passing skills. 22 of his 24 passes were accurate at 92%, meaning they found their target. Moreover, he completed three crucial passes—more than any other player on either team.

The winger won his lone aerial combat of the evening and seven of his ten ground duels, demonstrating his exceptional skill with the ball.

Amad did a fantastic job dropping back in defense even though his attention was on helping United attack. His four defensive plays—two tackles and two interceptions—were the most of any team.

Amad proved to be valuable both on offense and defense, thus it seemed that he could do no wrong overall. When the new season begins, United supporters will undoubtedly be eager to witness what he accomplishes for his team.
