The 24-year-old had a breakout season and was an integral part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad that advanced to the Euro 2024 final in Germany.

Foden took it easy at home as his Manchester City teammates were on a preseason tour of the US getting ready for the next season.Photos of the attacking midfielder and his father fishing on a lake in the village of Witney have gone viral. The fish they caught included catfish, carp, tench, pike, and perch.

As the younger Foden gets ready to return to training on Monday, the two posed with a variety of prize fish at the £14-a-day Linear Fisheries location. Foden admitted that most of his teammates do not share his passion for fishing after breaking into City’s first team as a teenager.

“I would venture to say that the vast majority of football players don’t find it enjoyable,” he stated in 2020.As soon as word gets out that the strange one enjoys fishing, comments like “what a weird sport to enjoy” start flying around. No one can fathom your pleasure for it.

It is clear that they should give it a go. To relax and unwind, I believe it’s the ideal pastime.

In 2018, Foden skipped City’s Premier League celebrations to go on a prearranged trip with his dad, demonstrating just how much he loves his hobby.

Despite the success and notoriety that Foden’s work has brought him, his love of fishing remains unwavering.

While on vacation with his family in Marbella earlier this summer, he and his younger brother Logan were spotted fishing from the deck of a yacht.Pep Guardiola is determined to extend his team’s historic reign of domination in the domestic top flight, therefore the period of peaceful leisure will soon come to a sudden end.

The defending champions will face Guardiola’s former protégé Enzo Maresca and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to start the season.
