Tottenham Hotspur prepared to attack as Scott McTominay remains uncertain about his future

The preseason games have reminded INEOS of the necessity to reinforce the middle of the field, even though Manchester United have strengthened at the back and upfront.

Since no Saudi clubs have shown interest in signing Casemiro, United will have to continue playing with a player who clearly cannot handle another season in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have not yet received an offer for Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain because they are having trouble selling the former Real Madrid great.

Fulham and Galatasaray are in a bidding war to sign Scott McTominay, a midfielder who has impressed since graduating from United’s school.

McTominay’s trajectoryBoth teams have had numerous bids turned down; if United do not reduce their demands, the Cottagers will look elsewhere, while the Turkish club is focusing on Kalvin Phillips of Manchester City.

United is standing firm at £30 million, even after taking into account the player’s exploits last season in terms of goals scored. Supporter Erik ten Hag is keen on retaining the services of the Scotland international.

The 27-year-old is reportedly not in a hurry to depart his childhood club for a mid-table side like Fulham, and McTominay is amenable to staying and challenging for a starting role, according to Teamtalk.

Tottenham Hotspur might be able to get back in the hunt if this happens. The North London club had their sights set on a No. 8 and had first shown interest in Chelsea’s Connor Gallagher.

However, McTominay is now again a genuine target because the Englishman appears to be heading to Atletico Madrid.

There has been strong interest from Premier League rivals Fulham in McTominay, but he is still unsure about his future. If Spurs return to Old Trafford, he might continue fighting for a starting role, like he did in the summer, according to sources who spoke with TEAMtalk.

Ten Hag is not in a hurry to get rid of McTominay this summer because he still considers him an integral part of his ambitions, and leaving the club he grew up with would be a major setback for McTominay.

“Potential suitors for the signature of the box-to-box midfielder include Tottenham as well as the Cottagers, another Premier League club.”

It would be wise for United to avoid agreeing to a contract with Spurs since they are projected to be top-four opponents and because of their history of contentious negotiations with Daniel Levy.
