Martial is reportedly coveted by an Italian club as he searches for a new home.

Sky Sports reports that the player, who was formerly with Monaco, might be amenable to a transfer to Serie A.Even though Marseille is in desperate need of a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Martial has previously rejected their advances.

The fact that Martial’s Atalanta team won the Europa League last year meant that they were automatically eligible for the UEFA Champions League could sway his decision.Martial had another injury-plagued season at Manchester United last year, appearing in just 19 games.

Erik ten Hag will likely miss the forward, especially after Rasmus Hojlund was elected as the club’s new number nine.

As they aim to improve upon last season’s eighth-place result, the Red Devils have also acquired Joshua Zirkzee.
