United are considering a deal to acquire Ederson.Ederson, who joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022 and is valued at £34.4m by transfermarkt, has played 90 times for his current club, scoring eight goals and assisting on two more.

During the 2023–24 season, the two-time Brazilian international was fantastic for his Italian team, making 53 total appearances and contributing to seven goals and one assist.

In 36 games for the Italian giants last season, Ederson scored six goals and added one assist, helping them finish eighth in Serie A. He also helped them win the Europa League the previous season.

The South American’s present contract is up for renewal in three years, but rumor has it that he will be free to leave the club in the summer transfer market if offered a fair price.Ederson has been useful in a variety of positions for Manchester United, including holding midfielder, but the club needs to add a new player to that position this summer.

After a stellar campaign with Atalanta last season, the Brazilian stole the show in May’s Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.

It is unclear how much Atalanta would expect, and Man United have already demonstrated that they will not pay a premium this summer. So, a lot will rely on the price.
