Adidas have unveiled a number of 2024–25 season uniforms, including some ‘iconic’ new third kits for clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal.
Newly designed shirts with the iconic adidas trefoil emblem have also been unveiled by Real Madrid, Juventus, and Bayern Munich. The ad included a roster of legendary players from different clubs, including Rio Ferdinand, Patrick Vieira, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Zinedine Zidane, and Alessandro Del Piero.
The new United shirt features the iconic Red Devil emblem back on the shirt along with white canvas and red and black stripes. Ferdinand was chosen to represent the team because of his 12 fruitful years at United, during which time they won the Premier League six times and the Champions League in 2008.
He who won two domestic doubles and played in Arsenal’s record undefeated Premier League campaign is the inspiration for the Gunners’ light blue design. Vieira is a former midfielder.
Friday will be the first game of United’s new season when they welcome Fulham at Old Trafford. On Saturday, they competed in the Community Shield against Manchester City, their rivals, but they came up short as Pep Guardiola’s team won in penalty shootouts.
When Arsenal host Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates on Saturday, they will be kicking off their quest to end their 20-year wait for a Premier League title. After beating Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester United in the summer, they won their preseason match against Lyon 2-0 (goals from William Saliba and Gabriel).
The new third tees from adidas will be available for purchase starting Monday, August 12th.
