Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, two defensive players for Bayern Munich, have been officially signed by Manchester United for £60 million.

After acquiring Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, Erik ten Hag’s squad has spent almost £149 million on new players this summer, and these two will be the club’s third and fourth acquisitions.

Steve Bruce, David May, and Phil Jones are among the players who have worn the No. 4 shirt before De Ligt. Denis Irwin, Phil Neville, and Patrice Evra are among the players who have worn the No. 3 jersey; Mazraoui has chosen to wear it as well.Each player’s registration must be finalized before either contract can be finalized. With a possible additional £4.27 million (€5 million) in add-ons, De Ligt, 25, arrives in a £38.5 million (€45 million) deal. With an additional year of contract option, the Dutch center back’s five-year deal will keep him with the club until 2029.

 

 

 

The 26-year-old right defender Mazraoui will cost the club £12.8 million (€15 million) with an additional £4.27 million (€5 million) in potential add-ons. He has a one-year option to extend his contract with the club, and he has already decided to stay until June 2028. After suffering through a slew of injuries to important defenders last season, United ramped up their pursuit of a new center back as well as two full backs for each side of the defense at the start of the transfer window.
