On the eve of the new season, manager Erik ten Hag receives a major boost with the new contract, which includes the option of an additional year. The new contract reportedly puts him in line with the club’s highest earners and is an increase from his previous £240,000 per week deal.

There was some concern about Fernandes’s long-term future at the end of last season, but that has been put to rest. He has won three Player of the Year titles since joining United in January 2020.The intensity of Fernandes’s devotion to Manchester United is well-known, he added.

To represent this fantastic club demands an extraordinary amount of commitment and passion, and I am fully aware of the gravity of the duty that comes with donning this jersey.

From having my name screamed from the Stretford End to scoring a hat trick against Leeds, from captaining the club on European nights at Old Trafford to hoisting trophies at Wembley, I have had countless memorable moments here.

I would never have signed this deal if I didn’t think my greatest years with United are ahead of me.

At the end of last season, Fernandes made it clear that he wanted to remain with United, but he wanted the club to demonstrate their interest in him. He put the pressure on United’s newly formed leadership team to demonstrate their vision to the captain.

He continued, saying, “It is clear how determined everyone is to fight for major trophies in the years ahead” after speaking with the football team’s management and leadership.

‘I am excited to lead our team forward because I can see how bright our future is.’

United see this as a pivotal summer business, and Ten Hag, chief executive Omar Berrada, and sporting director Dan Ashworth are all on board with it.In almost 220 games throughout his 4.5 years at Old Trafford, he has tallied 73 goals and 65 assists.

According to Ashworth, Bruno has been consistently performing at a high level since joining Manchester United. The players and staff are motivated to consistently perform at their best because to his exceptional leadership, which sets the daily standards.

Bruno exemplifies the spirit of a Manchester United player through his unwavering commitment to the club. We are excited to work with him to attain the success that this club needs, and he is crucial to all that we want to do here.
