Southampton has officially loaned Chelsea player Lesley Ugochukwu to Southampton

Southampton have officially signed young midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu on a season-long loan from Chelsea. In his first season with the Blues, the 20-year-old played 15 times, primarily as a substitute, after joining from Rennes last summer.

While on Chelsea’s preseason tour in the United States, Ugochukwu scored against Wrexham and scored the game-winning goal in a friendly at Stamford Bridge against Inter Milan. Ugochukwu will get more first-team experience on loan despite his good preseason performances because Chelsea has a deep midfield.

Hopefully, Ugochukwu will be given the chance to continue his growth at the top level of English football by Southampton, who recently returned to the Premier League by winning the Championship promotion playoffs.

I am rather pleased. The history of Southampton is remarkable. I am thrilled to be a part of Southampton’s team because many great players have come here to play.

“The choice was quite clear. Their return to the Premier League is recent. “I must come here” was my first reaction upon hearing Southampton, which I shared with the gaffer as well.

“My only purpose here is to work tirelessly and give my all for the sake of the fans and my own success.”
