The Blues are reportedly competing with Juventus for the signature of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, and they are now investigating potential deals to bring him to Chelsea.

On Saturday, Sancho flew to Brighton with United for their second Premier League match of the season. However, he was not included in the United team that lost to the Seagulls 2-1.

Even if Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag ‘drew a line’ under the feud that led to Sancho’s exile and loan to Borussia Dortmund last season, concerns over his future with the club persist.An option to purchase the winger at £40 million has been considered by Juventus as they consider a loan deal for Sancho.

 

Additionally, Sancho’s potential transfer is being investigated by Chelsea, who are in the hunt for his services.While the team continues to seek a striker this summer, Chelsea reportedly needs to release as many as six players before a deal becomes realistic.

As part of a possible deal for Sancho, the Blues would be willing to let a player go to United.

The England international Raheem Sterling, who has been outspoken since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, might be one of the players offered in an exchange.

Sterling and Ben Chilwell are among the important players that head coach Enzo Maresca has sent to a “bomb squad” after they were expelled from the first team group.The size of Chelsea’s roster, according to Maresca earlier this week, made it “impossible” to offer them minutes.

In a statement made on Wednesday, Maresca stated that Sterling and Chilwell are working separately.

It would be unfair to offer every player a chance to play because we have a large team. If they are only going to be here for a few minutes, they should probably just go.

“If they stay, it’s because they’re Chelsea players with a contract.”
