Fans greeted Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku as he arrived in Rome, Italy, for a medical check-up. Enthusiastic fans flocked to meet Lukaku and take pictures, making it impossible for him to enter the facility immediately.
The 31-year-old Lukaku traveled to the Italian city just before his $33 million transfer from Chelsea to Napoli. This means that a six-year, two-part involvement with Chelsea has come to an end with the transfer.
Unfortunately, Lukaku’s involvement was not without its difficulties. After failing to impress upon joining the London club in 2011, he was loaned out to various teams, including Inter for the 2022-23 season.
