El Bombi’s home run was all Texas required to secure a 3-1 victory over the Angels

The Texas Rangers secured a 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Angels, with the Rangers scoring all three of their runs on a decisive home run by Adolis Garcia.

The Angels managed to score just once, with their lone run coming in the top of the third inning. Despite the Rangers not adding any more runs after the first inning, their early offensive output proved sufficient. Cody Bradford was instrumental in the win, keeping the Angels’ offense in check throughout the game.

This victory brings the Rangers to within five games of .500, marking their closest approach to that benchmark since August 5.

Player of the Game: While El Bombi’s home run, his first since August 18, was crucial, Bradford also deserves significant recognition. The left-hander delivered another impressive performance, continuing his strong form on the mound.

With a line of 6 innings pitched, 2 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks, and 4 strikeouts on just 90 pitches, Bradford earned his first win since August 10 and notched his fifth consecutive quality start. Could the Rangers be developing a promising homegrown starting pitcher?

Up Next: The Rangers will face the Angels again, with Texas likely starting right-hander Jose Urena against Anaheim’s Samuel Aldegheri. The game is set to begin at 7:05 pm CT on Friday night from The Shed and will be broadcast on BS Southwest.
