Inside Man United great Wayne Rooney’s £20m ‘Morrisons mansion,’ which has a swimming pool, two fishing lakes, a full-size football field, and a theater

Wayne Riley is moving back to England with his family, where he will reside in the £20 million “Morrisons mansion,” which features a swimming pool, two fishing lakes, a full-sized football field, and a movie theater.

The legendary manager of Manchester United and England has recently been confirmed as Birmingham City’s new boss, taking over for the fired John Eustace at St Andrews.

In 2021, Wayne, Coleen, and the entire Rooney family moved into their ideal house.

When it was being built, their £20 million Cheshire estate was known as the “Morrisons mansion.”

The mansion features two fishing lakes, a movie theater, and a swimming pool on an enormous 40 acres of ground.

It’s thought that Rooney paid a Cheshire property developer more than £4 million to have the gated residence constructed (!).

Wife Coleen and their four sons, Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass, stayed in England, while he moved to Washington with his coaching staff.

But when he goes home to live with them full-time at their opulent Cheshire estate, he will have all the support he needs from his family after joining the Tom Brady-backed Blues.

The 37-year-old Rooney and the 37-year-old Coleen have a sizable property portfolio that includes residences in Florida, the USA, the Caribbean, and the UK.

Their opulent six-bedroom £20 million home, situated on a 40-acre plot of land, is the crown treasure, though.

The family moved into a completely rebuilt home in December 2021.

It’s called High Lake Manor and is supposedly in Cheshire.

In a theoretical sense, Rooney and his companion may even address themselves as the manor’s lord and lady.

When the property was still under development, we told you that the all-time leading scorer for United had a full-size football field erected there, complete with a sitting area.

The five-a-side field even has showers for his friends’ changing quarters; however, due to the remote location of his mansion, he was unable to install floodlights.

In addition, he has two artificial fishing lakes, a movie theater, a swimming pool, and a garage for his collection of automobiles.

Rooney is regarded as an avid fisherman.

Neighbours had previously made fun of the house’s size and style, saying it looked like a Morrisons supermarket.

However, in contrast to a Morrisons, it now has a wine cellar, TV lounge, snooker room, bar, and orangery.

In addition, the opulent Rooney pad features “his” and “hers” changing rooms, a steam room, a hot tub, and a large indoor swimming pool encircled by a glass pavilion.

Not only that, but it also has a large terrace, beautifully planted grounds, and an opulent luxury vehicle garage.

A Cheshire real estate developer is thought to have received nearly £4 million from Rooney to create the mansion, which also features separate elevators and a guest bathroom.

The main area and the basement floor, which has a large gym, pool, Jacuzzi, and movie theater, are connected by a second elevator.

After intruders attempted to break into Rooney’s Cheshire house in 2016 before authorities intervened, they decided to construct their dream mansion.

The former striker was raised in a Liverpool social home, but he has demonstrated his real estate prowess by renting out his expansive Barbados home for £25,000 a week.

In 2007, he bought a £320,000 beachfront property in Florida’s Sunshine State and spent £450,000 on a detached house in Liverpool for his parents.

After dating since they were 16 years old, he and Coleen—who are estimated to be worth over £115 million—now own houses all over the world.

Before making the big-money switch to Manchester United, Rooney excelled for England at the 2004 Euros and rose through the ranks at his boyhood club, Everton.

He went on to win the Premier League and the Champions League five times under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Rooney became the record goalscorer for club and country, surpassing Sir Bobby Charlton’s record for both United and England, which is currently held by Harry Kane.

After an emotional comeback to Everton in 2017, he went on to become their team’s top scorer that year before joining DC United in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The veteran scored 23 goals in 48 games for the American team at the time, but in an unexpected move, he returned to England to play for Championship club Derby County in the 2020–21 campaign.

The youngsters can play on a full-size five-a-side pitch on the property (!).

While running DC United, Rooney has been living apart from his family in America.

The mansion features a cinema, a swimming pool, and a garage for his collection of automobiles.

When this crack in the building surfaced, the £20 million property was branded a “Morrisons mansion.”

Supporters said it resembled the supermarket’s facade.

There is an expansive gym, pool, Jacuzzi, and movie theater on the lower level.
